Cultural Compass English is an integrated English community platform created by Jillian Mukavetz that offers English as a first and second language practice. For second language speakers, there are one-on-one Business English classes, Everyday English classes, and Kids Tutoring Services. For first language speakers, Tutoring is available for all ages, including advanced literary programs, Test Preparation, Critical Writing, Creative Writing and Workshops. 

Jillian understands that learning to apply Cross-Cultural communication in English is essential for both international business and leisure. She celebrates the complexity of literature for beginner and advanced English Language Arts. And is also trained in Phonics and Early learning reading and writing principles. She deeply honors the desire to write critically and creatively through exploratory, careful consultation. She believes in the enchanting process of critical thinking and reading. And she believes in the opportunity to express the wealth of experience and imagination through critical and creative writing.

  • Hannah's Story

    Hannah was a newly graduated Sophrologist. She aspired to relocate to Canada with her family and establish a practice there. We undertook the business English course together to equip her for the transition. Additionally, we then dedicated numerous lessons to her therapy sessions, developing scripts and rehearsing vocabulary tailored to her specific therapeutic practice.

  • Julien's Story

    Julien was a head employee at a tech security firm. He possessed a commendable proficiency in English; however, he admitted that he frequently took extended pauses following any errors, which he felt undermined his self-confidence. We focused on content with a large emphasis on discussions to incorporate new vocabulary and enhance his fluency, thereby elevating his confidence. Subsequently, during the course, he expressed how at ease he felt when delivering a presentation to Americans in English at a corporate meeting.
