Bio
Jillian possesses more than 15 years of experience in teaching internationally at schools, universities, and businesses. Originally from Colorado, USA, she has taught in various countries including the United States, South Korea, Thailand, Germany, China, France, Portugal, and has also conducted online classes globally. She holds two Master's degrees: one in Poetry and Linguistics, and another in Education with a specialization in Global Education, in addition to her CELTA certification. Jillian's professional background encompasses teaching University English as a Second Language, Literature, and Test Preparation. She has worked in International Schools and Montessori settings across pre-school, primary, secondary, and advanced literary programs. Furthermore, she is a certified educator. Jillian has facilitated poetry workshops in Beijing, Bangkok, and online. Additionally, she has served as a writing instructor, concentrating on essays, structure, style, and clarity.
Jillian Mukavetz is a poet, photographer, musician founder and editor of womens quarterly conversation. She received her MFA from New England College. Her poems and photography have appeared in verse, delirious hem, barnstorm, otoliths, ditch, poets and artists, among other publications. Her cinepoems have been featured at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur, Bangkok Poetry Events, and Prick of the Spindle. She plays the fiddle with the gypsy band. her chapbooks, in the process of being heard & say kitty, kitty are out from Dancing Girl Press. In October, ’24, she published her first full-length poetry book, Day Notes of Secrets, out from Atmosphere Press. Jillian has lived and taught in her home Colorado as well as Seoul, Bangkok, Munich, and Beijing, and currently lives with partner and son and two Thai cats in Lisbon, Portugal.
